During the film shoot, strong rumours of their alleged affair surfaced. John was dating actor Bipasha Basu back then and obviously things got a little ugly on the personal front for him. Since then, film-makers like Priyadarshan and Sanjay Gupta approached both the actors but nothing worked-out. However, John has finally managed to break the awkward silence and was all praises for Vidya. According to a source, John says that Bollywood is a male dominated industry but there are exceptions to the rule. The source further added, “He feels that the way Meryl Streep in Hollywood has proved with movies like The Iron Lady that a woman can carry a film on her shoulders, Vidya Balan has proved the same in Bollywood with 'Kahaani'.” Well, we all know that Vidya has set a new benchmark in Bollywood for all the actresses but hearing it coming from John makes us more than happy. We wonder if sparks will fly and hope to see the two on-screen together.
