With the Khans’ movies lined up for release in the second half of 2012, the September month is also crucial for our B – town beauties where the most – awaited release ‘Heroine
’ and other women centric movies is scheduled. Buzz is that Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine has become a tough competition to English Vinglish
starring Sridevi and Preity Zinta’s Ishq in Paris
. So, it is understandable that most film producers are shuffling around the dates to avoid clashing with the big budgeted ‘Heroine’.
Ishq in Paris stars the bubbly Preity Zinta, while English Vinglish is a comeback film for the yesteryear’s beauty Sridevi. Both the movies were reportedly slated to release on September 21 along with Heroine, however film – makers of English Vinglish are said to have pushed their release date early by two weeks.
Recently, the poster for Ishq in Paris has been released, but interestingly, the film’s poster doesn’t mention the release date. News doing rounds that even Preity will reconsider the date since she thinks it would not be a great idea to release to their film on the same day as others.
A source disclosed, “Heroine had at the very outset announced their release date. The filmmakers were very keen they release the film on September 21 and no other date because it also happens to be Kareena’s birthday on the same day. Most films have been working around their dates and adjusting around Heroine because it is said to be one of the biggest movies. It is also one of the most-awaited movies of the year, so not too many want to take a chance and release their film on the same day, even if it is a big budget release.”
This is Preity’s first film as a producer and apparently she wants to play safe and wants the film to be a solo release. While Bebo is as steady as rock with her dates, we pray that Sridevi’s and Preity’s sacrifice pays off.
